The Gears of war is an amazing game series ,which is centred on soilders called delta squad as they fight to save the human inhabitants of the relentless subterranean enemy knows as the locust hordes.
You begin playing as Marcus Fenix a former prisoner and war-hardened soldier. The game is based on the use of cover and strategic fire for the player to advance through the scenarios, a second player can play cooperatively through the main campaign to assist. The game also features several online multiplayer game modes for up to eight players.
Meet Delta Squad
Marcus Fenix - serves in the military of the coalition of order governments, and is the main protagonist of gears of war and of the sequel gears of war 2. Few have given more and lost as much as Marcus. A promising soldier during the pendulum wars, he saw everything change on emergence day. Marcus bravely fought the locust for ten years, then, during an intense battle, he abandoned his post to rescue his father, Professor Adam Fenix, but could not reach him in time. Marcus was tried for dereliction of duty and sentenced to 40 years in Jacinto maximum security prison. Incarcerated for four years before being released by his longtime friend, Dominic Santiago. Marcus was later promoted to sergeant after the death of Minh Young Kim. Along with the rest of Delta squad, he successfully detonated the lightmass bomb and destroyed much of the Locust Hollow. With his reputation restored, Marcus now focuses on finishing the war against the Locust, and helping his friend Dom on his own personal mission.
Dom Santiago - is a COG soldier. Dom was the younger brother of Carlos Santiago and son of Eduardo Santiago and Eva Santiago. Born in a Pre E-Day Sera, he grew up listening to his father's war stories and going to school with Carlos and Marcus. Dom later joined the army as a commando and took part in operation leveler. Years later Dom freed his best friend Marcus Fenix from Jacinto maximum security prison and recruited him into delta squad. His battlefield intensity is rivaled only by his loyalty to Marcus. Dom's friendly and outgoing nature lets him form relationships with factions throughout sera, including the stranded. He's always quick with a joke, but Dom's amiability masks an inner conflict that makes the war against the locust far more personal.
Damon Baird - is a dedicated tech-head and professional skeptic. In Baird's world, if something can go wrong, it probably already has. His sarcasm can keep people at a distance, which is why he prefers the company of machines. He believes in the coalition's cause, but he's often frustrated with command decisions, and the fact the COG sacrifice rights over security. He'd took offense when Colonel Hoffman promoted Marcus Fenix to Sergeant to lead delta squad instead of him. Baird has a history of being promoted and demoted for being outspoken.
Augustus Cole - was once a successful thrashball player known for his hard-hitting and flamboyant style. After emergence day, Cole joined the military and brought that same "grit and intensity" to the battlefield, which saved his life more than once. Cole has spent most of his military career alongside his friend and foil, Damon Baird, as the two begin a new chapter in their military careers. Throughout his career as a Gear, he has rejected every military promotion that has been offered under the grounds that having rank is not going to affect how many Locust he can kill.
Benjamin Carmne - a new recruit and is Anthony Carmine's brother, although they're so similar they might as well be identical twins. Much like his brother, Benjamin is incredibly enthusiastic, reverent for senior gears, and fond of wearing a helmet. However, Benjamin is unique from Anthony in that he is a polite sort of soldier and will disregard the Golden rule of the gears if he sees a teammate down. However, perhaps thanks to frequent prompting from Marcus and Dom, this is the only time he will rush out of cover but he still has a better understanding of staying in cover than Anthony did.
